Terms
Last updated 31 October 2026
These terms cover the Capysort app for Mac, its plugins for Claude and ChatGPT, and capysort.com. By downloading or using Capysort, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains what Capysort reads and sends.
Free to scan, $15 to apply
You can download Capysort, scan your library, Messages, folders and apps, and read every plan for free. A license lets Capysort apply plans and undo them. It costs $15 once, with no subscription, and doesn’t expire.
One license is for one person, on up to 3 Macs you own or use. You can move it to another Mac by deactivating it on one you no longer use. Please don’t share or resell your license key, or work around the license check.
Buying and refunds
Lemon Squeezy sells licenses on our behalf as the merchant of record, so their buyer terms also apply to your purchase and their name may appear on your receipt. Prices include any tax Lemon Squeezy has to charge where you live, or show it at checkout. If Capysort doesn’t work for you, email us within 30 days of buying and we’ll refund you.
You approve every change
Capysort changes your library, Messages, folders, apps or Contacts only when you approve a plan, whether you made it or an assistant proposed it. Read each plan before you approve it. Photos Capysort removes go to Photos’ Recently Deleted album, files go to the Trash, and History can undo what it did, but Photos and macOS empty those on their own schedule. Keep a backup of anything you can’t replace, for example with Time Machine or iCloud Photos.
Claude, ChatGPT and other services
Capysort can work with Claude, from Anthropic, and ChatGPT and Codex, from OpenAI. Those are their services, under their terms, and you need your own account with them. We don’t control what an assistant says or proposes, and a plan it sends is only a proposal until you approve it. Apple Intelligence, Photos, Messages and macOS are Apple’s. Capysort isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Anthropic or OpenAI.
The plugins
The Capysort plugins for Claude and ChatGPT are open source under the MIT License, which comes with them. They start the Capysort app’s helper on your Mac and do nothing without the app. The app itself is not open source, and these terms cover it.
What Capysort is, and isn’t, promising
We work to make Capysort careful and correct, and we fix problems you report. But it is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be error-free, meet your needs, or keep working with every future version of macOS or of the assistants. Some places don’t allow these exclusions, so they apply only as far as the law allows.
Limits on liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for lost photos, files, messages or data, or for indirect or consequential losses, from using Capysort. Our total liability for anything to do with Capysort is limited to what you paid for your license. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top. A change doesn’t take away a license you already bought.
